Madrid Johnson built Bleu Champu into a Bay Area icon over more than four decades in the industry. He is the owner of the salon and the formulator behind the entire Madrid's product line — from the Opulence Relaxer System to Coconut Yogurt, Liquid Texture, Herbal Remedy Pommade, and the Ultimate Loc-Knot Twist Hair Cream.
He works with every hair type that walks in — natural, textured, chemically treated, fine, coarse — and is known by repeat clients for blowouts that go all the way to the root, for saving hair after a bad cut from somewhere else, and for treating each guest like the only one in the chair that day.

Trapae brings a fashion eye to the chair — finishing styles with the kind of polish you'd expect from a runway, not a strip mall salon. She works closely with clients booking blowouts, finished styles, special-occasion looks, and the styling steps that turn a great cut into a great photo.
Shannon carries the master title for a reason. She handles the full range of services Madrid built the salon on — cuts, color, weaving, chemical treatments, extensions — and is the stylist many longtime clients book when Madrid's chair is full but they don't want to wait for a touch-up.
Ebony works across natural and textured hair with a focus on the techniques that protect the hair as they shape it — braiding, crochet, locs at every stage, and the styling that comes after. She's the stylist to ask for if you're starting locs or transitioning, and she knows the Madrid's product line inside out.
Natural, textured, chemically treated, fine, coarse — the Johnsons work across the full range and never ask a client to "do something" with their hair before they arrive.
Madrid's product line is used daily by every stylist in the chair. If it's on the shelf, the family has tested it on real hair before it was bottled.
Sunday through Tuesday is by appointment so the chair never gets rushed. When you book a Johnson, you get the whole appointment — not whatever's left between two walk-ins.
